REACTIVE RESET PROGRAM
Reactive Dog Training
in Cornwall
For owners who are tired of stressful walks, barking, lunging, and feeling like they’ve tried everything.
The Reality of Reactivity
Does every walk feel like
something you have to manage?
Living with a reactive dog can slowly shrink your world. You love your dog, but the constant scanning, avoiding, apologising, and worrying can leave you exhausted.
You plan routes around quiet times, avoid certain places, and feel your body tense whenever you spot another dog, person, bike, car, or unexpected trigger.
Barking, Lunging or Pulling
Your dog’s reactions can feel sudden and intense. You’re trying to stay calm, but it can feel embarrassing, overwhelming, and impossible to know what to do.
Feeling Judged & Alone
Other owners stare. Friends and family don’t always understand. You may have started turning down walks, social plans, or places you used to enjoy.
You’ve Tried Everything
Group classes, online advice, quick tips, or general training may have helped a little - but the same real-world problems keep coming back.
Dreaded Walks
A Better Way Forward
You haven’t failed your dog. You just
need the right plan.
Reactivity is not solved by forcing your dog to “get over it”, throwing them into overwhelming situations, or relying on obedience commands alone.
Your dog needs to feel safer, understand what to do instead, and learn at a pace they can cope with. You need clear guidance too - so you know how to support them before, during, and after the moments that currently feel hard.
That is what Reactive Reset is built for.
Reactive Reset includes:
• 6-week structured programme
• Initial discovery call
• Bespoke training plan
• In-person coaching in Cornwall
• Real-world practice
• Clear homework between sessions

0.1
Understand & Manage
We identify your dog’s triggers, thresholds, routines, and early warning signs, then reduce preventable reactions so your dog has the space to learn.
The Method
How Reactive Reset Works
Reactive dogs need more than obedience commands - they need a structured approach that helps them feel safer, understand what to do, and build confidence gradually.
0.2
Build Foundations
You’ll learn the core skills your dog needs before working closer to triggers - including focus, engagement, decompression, confidence, and clear communication.
0.3
Emotional Response
Using counter-conditioning and desensitisation, we help your dog build calmer associations with the things that currently overwhelm them.
0.4
Practise in Real Life
We gradually apply the work in carefully chosen environments, helping both you and your dog build confidence outside of controlled sessions.
Our 4-Step Reactive Reset Method
Foundation & Management
We start by teaching you how to manage your dog’s environment to prevent reactive episodes from happening in the first place. This sets the stage for successful learning and reduces stress for both you and your dog.
Understanding canine body language
Learn to read your dog’s subtle cues so you can intervene before they become reactive. This is key to proactive, effective training.
Counter-conditioning & Desensitisation
We’ll guide you through our proven process of changing your dog’s emotional response to their triggers. Using positive reinforcement, we’ll help your dog associate their triggers with good things, rather than fear and anxiety.
Real world application
We’ll help you take your new skills and your dog’s newfound confidence out into the real world. We’ll practice in a variety of controlled settings, gradually increasing the level of distractions as your dog becomes more comfortable.
Who is this Programme for?
Your Working Breed is reactive, anxious or switched on 24/7 and you’re exhausted
Walks feeling stressful and embarrassing, and you want to avoid everything
REACTIVE RESET
Have you tried other trainers, ‘quick fixes’, or online advice with no lasting results?
You want real behaviour change, so that you can love walking your dog again.
Don’t give up yet… you haven’t failed - you just haven’t had guidance that actually understands your Reactive Dog. AND… That’s where we come in.
HowReactive Reset is different from Generalist Training
-
We deal with reactivity every single day, either fixing it or preventing it. No group or puppy classes - that’s generalist stuff. We’re reactivity specialists through and through, transforming dogs that others can’t.
-
We understand your dog as a whole. Their instincts, breed drives, daily stress, diet, routine, and what’s actually triggering the behaviour. We work with all of this, not just the commands.
-
We build routines that work for your dog’s life. You’re not dependent on a trainer or a tool. You understand your dog, and the behaviour stays changed because the root cause is resolved.
-
We understand your working dog’s breed instincts and give them appropriate outlets. A fulfilled dog, one whose needs are met, naturally settles, listens, and enjoy life with you.
GENERALIST TRAINING
-
Focus is on teaching tricks ike sit or stay, but these tend to be in a indoor setting with no real-life connection. They don’t address the underlying issues that lead to reactivity.
-
Focus is on managing what you see - the pulling, barking and jumping up. They teach you how to manage it, but the dog is still frustrated underneath.
-
Often, progress only happens during sessions or with specific tools e.g. halti’s. Once your stop the training or stop using the tool, the behaviour comes back.
-
Focus is on control and obedience through over-correction. The dog learns to comply, but they’re often still frustrated, anxious, or unfulfilled.
Our Story: From Chaos to Clarity
Jac wasn’t an easy puppy. In fact, he was overwhelming. I couldn’t take him anywhere. Friends and family didn’t want him around, and I felt isolated, embarrassed, and heartbroken. This wasn’t the dog ownership I had dreamed of.
Jac came from strong gundog lines, but retrieving? He wanted nothing to do with it. Instead of forcing what wasn’t working, I learned to listen to him. We redirected his drive into scent work and obedience, and slowly everything changed. He became engaged, fulfilled, and finally able to settle.
But the reactivity remained. Walks were stressful. Everyday life felt hard. There were plenty of tears, and many moments where giving up felt easier but I didn’t.
Everything changed when I began working with a reactivity specialist. For the first time, I understood Jac. I learned how to help him feel safe, confident, and calm in the world. The transformation was life-changing… not just for him, but for me.
People started noticing. Friends, then strangers, began asking for help with their own dogs. That’s how Concept K9 was born.
Today, Jac is my incredible stooge dog - neutral, reliable, and calm - helping reactive dogs build confidence every single day. He went from being the hardest dog I’d ever known to the reason I now help others transform their lives with their dogs.
If Jac can do it, you and your dog can too.
This IS for you if:
Your walks feel stressful, you’re exhausted and life with your dog is hard to manage.
You want to enjoy life with your dog again.
Open to doing this differently and want to understand your dog properly rather than guessing.
You’ve tried everything and ready for training that will stick.
You’re committed to putting in the work and practising the exercises consistently.
You believe that your dog is a family member and deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.
This is NOT for you if:
You’re looking for a quick fix or magic wand without putting in the work between sessions.
You’re unwilling to change your own habits and routines at home or on walks.
You’re unwilling to take advice about things that will actually make a difference and happy to delay change.
You believe using an aversive tool with no prior conditioning will ‘solve’ your problem.
You’re only willing to work on the train programme when you have a bit of ‘free time’.
