Reactive Dog Nightmare? Stress-Free Walks in 6 Weeks

Reactive Reset turns chaos into calm. Go from hiding in bushes to avoid triggers to confidently walking your dog down the street. 50+ dogs transformed.

Does this sound familiar?

Living with a reactive dog can feel like a constant battle. You love your dog, but the daily stress and embarrassment are taking their toll. Do any of these situations sound painfully familiar?

Your heart pounds every time you see another dog, person, or even a squirrel. You find yourself walking at odd hours, avoiding popular parks, and constantly scanning your surrounding for potential triggers.

Lunging & Barking

Your dog’s explosive reactions - lunging, barking and growling - leave you feeling mortified and helpful. You’re tired of the judgemental stares from strangers and the unsolicited advice from other dog owners.

Failed Classes

You’ve tried traditional group classes, but they didn’t work. The group setting was too overwhelming for your dog, and the one-size-fits-all approach didn’t address the root cause of their reactivity. Even getting kicked out for disrupting.

Isolation & Loneliness

You feel isolated and alone in your struggle. Friends and family don’t understand what you’re going through, and you’re starting to lose hope that things will ever get better. Hard to turn down dog walks with your friends in case your dog ‘ruins’ it.

Dreaded Walks

Our 4-Step Reactive Reset Method

Foundation & Management

We start by teaching you how to manage your dog’s environment to prevent reactive episodes from happening in the first place. This sets the stage for successful learning and reduces stress for both you and your dog.

Understanding canine body language

Learn to read your dog’s subtle cues so you can intervene before they become reactive. This is key to proactive, effective training.

Counter-conditioning & Desensitisation

We’ll guide you through our proven process of changing your dog’s emotional response to their triggers. Using positive reinforcement, we’ll help your dog associate their triggers with good things, rather than fear and anxiety.

Real world application

We’ll help you take your new skills and your dog’s newfound confidence out into the real world. We’ll practice in a variety of controlled settings, gradually increasing the level of distractions as your dog becomes more comfortable.

Who is this Programme for?

Your Working Breed is reactive, anxious or switched on 24/7 and you’re exhausted

Walks feeling stressful and embarrassing, and you want to avoid everything

REACTIVE RESET

Have you tried other trainers, ‘quick fixes’, or online advice with no lasting results?

You want real behaviour change, so that you can love walking your dog again.

Don’t give up yet… you haven’t failed - you just haven’t had guidance that actually understands your Reactive Dog. AND… That’s where we come in.

How Reactive Reset is different from Generalist Training

  • We deal with reactivity every single day, either fixing it or preventing it. No group or puppy classes - that’s generalist stuff. We’re reactivity specialists through and through, transforming dogs that others can’t.

  • We understand your dog as a whole. Their instincts, breed drives, daily stress, diet, routine, and what’s actually triggering the behaviour. We work with all of this, not just the commands.

  • We build routines that work for your dog’s life. You’re not dependent on a trainer or a tool. You understand your dog, and the behaviour stays changed because the root cause is resolved.

  • We understand your working dog’s breed instincts and give them appropriate outlets. A fulfilled dog, one whose needs are met, naturally settles, listens, and enjoy life with you.

GENERALIST TRAINING

  • Focus is on teaching tricks ike sit or stay, but these tend to be in a indoor setting with no real-life connection. They don’t address the underlying issues that lead to reactivity.

  • Focus is on managing what you see - the pulling, barking and jumping up. They teach you how to manage it, but the dog is still frustrated underneath.

  • Often, progress only happens during sessions or with specific tools e.g. halti’s. Once your stop the training or stop using the tool, the behaviour comes back.

  • Focus is on control and obedience through over-correction. The dog learns to comply, but they’re often still frustrated, anxious, or unfulfilled.

This IS for you if:

Your walks feel stressful, you’re exhausted and life with your dog is hard to manage.

You want to enjoy life with your dog again.

Open to doing this differently and want to understand your dog properly rather than guessing.

You’ve tried everything and ready for training that will stick.

You’re committed to putting in the work and practising the exercises consistently.

You believe that your dog is a family member and deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.

This is NOT for you if:

You’re looking for a quick fix or magic wand without putting in the work between sessions.

You’re unwilling to change your own habits and routines at home or on walks.

You’re unwilling to take advice about things that will actually make a difference and happy to delay change.

You believe using an aversive tool with no prior conditioning will ‘solve’ your problem.

You’re only willing to work on the train programme when you have a bit of ‘free time’.

Our Story: From Chaos to Clarity

My Story: From Chaos to Clarity

Jac wasn’t an easy puppy. In fact, he was overwhelming. I couldn’t take him anywhere. Friends and family didn’t want him around, and I felt isolated, embarrassed, and heartbroken. This wasn’t the dog ownership I had dreamed of.

Jac came from strong gundog lines, but retrieving? He wanted nothing to do with it. Instead of forcing what wasn’t working, I learned to listen to him. We redirected his drive into scent work and obedience, and slowly everything changed. He became engaged, fulfilled, and finally able to settle.

But the reactivity remained. Walks were stressful. Everyday life felt hard. There were plenty of tears, and many moments where giving up felt easier but I didn’t.

Everything changed when I began working with a reactivity specialist. For the first time, I understood Jac. I learned how to help him feel safe, confident, and calm in the world. The transformation was life-changing… not just for him, but for me.

People started noticing. Friends, then strangers, began asking for help with their own dogs. That’s how Concept K9 was born.

Today, Jac is my incredible stooge dog - neutral, reliable, and calm - helping reactive dogs build confidence every single day. He went from being the hardest dog I’d ever known to the reason I now help others transform their lives with their dogs.

If Jac can do it, you and your dog can too.
